Celebrating B Corp Month

Building community and making connections
March was B Corp Month – and what a month it was! As well as working on some really exciting projects with our clients, we’ve been connecting with like-minded businesses, sharing ideas and building meaningful relationships across the B Corp community.
For us at Orangery, it’s been a chance to celebrate our commitment to using design as a force for good alongside others who share our values.
Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to during this inspiring month of impact…
Bringing B Corps together
This month, we were thrilled to co-host B Social Surrey alongside Wildfire at the beautiful Bingham Riverhouse for an afternoon of learning, networking, and celebrating by the riverside in Richmond.
With 55 attendees participating in our speed networking sessions, the energy was electric and the connections meaningful. Our B Corp knowledge quiz had everyone competing enthusiastically, with team Switchfoot claiming impressive bragging rights as champions! The product showcase featured wonderful samples from fellow B Corps – from wine and beer to popcorn, drinks and chocolate – embodying the innovation and quality that comes from purpose-driven business models.
It was wonderful to catch up with familiar faces and forge exciting new connections; all reminding us why we love being part of this collaborative B Corp family.
A big thank you to everyone who made this event possible: our own Stephanie, Evie and Simon, Samra from Wildfire and Vanessa from Bingham Riverhouse. We’re also grateful to the following incredible B Corp contributors who shared their products and stories:
Crumbs Brewing
Everleaf
Flawsome
Jude’s
Popcorn Kitchen
re-wrap
Seep
Tony’s Chocolonely
The Uncommon
Wildfarmed

Sharing our perspective
This month, Our founder Simon Croft brought Orangery’s voice to an engaging panel discussion on community within the B Corp movement. Reflecting on what makes this network special, Simon captured it simply: “It’s essentially a group of leaders and businesses you want to work with.”
The conversation highlighted how B Corps share fundamental values while successfully balancing purpose with profit. Simon noted that for him, “B Corp is Moral Compass Business – the community embodies this.” This framework has been invaluable for our team, helping us unite around a clear vision and connect with clients who align with our values.
For our team at Orangery, the B Corp framework has been transformative, bringing us together around a shared vision and helping us connect with clients who share our values. This community has welcomed us with open arms, inviting Simon to join the Agency Leaders Alliance alongside Surrey’s finest B Corp agencies for candid conversations about the big challenges facing our industry.
Making casual connections
Continuing our monthly tradition, we hosted our People Planet Pint meet-up in Guildford. This relaxed gathering provides a space for people to learn about local sustainability initiatives and how they can get involved – no pitches, PowerPoints or panels required.
These meet-ups welcome everyone regardless of experience or background, creating a comfortable space for learning about sustainability and sharing ideas over drinks.
As we often say, creating a sustainable future requires connected communities, and what better way to bring everyone together than over a pint?
If you’re local and missed this month’s gathering, don’t worry! Keep an eye on our social channels for the April meet-up date – we’d love to welcome you for good conversation and even better company.
The journey continues
As B Corp Month draws to a close, the connections we’ve made and strengthened will continue powering our mission. These gatherings remind us why we joined this community in the first place: businesses really can lead positive change when we focus on what matters.
At Orangery, design forms both our practice and our lens for seeing the world’s possibilities. Our B Corp certification serves as our public promise to keep pushing, keep growing and keep making a difference in everything we do.
We’re excited to keep this momentum going, hosting more events, deepening community ties, and partnering with purpose-driven organisations who, like us, are working toward a better world.
If you share our vision for using business as a force for good, we’d love to chat.
