June marked our first full year as a certified B Corporation and our first official “B Day!”

In June 2024, after a rigorous process led by the brilliant Stephanie Pratt, we officially became B Corp certified with a score of 82.4. Since then, we’ve been quietly but consistently putting that certification into practice.

Here are a few highlights from our first year in the B Corp community…

  • We attended the Louder Than Words Festival in Oxford, joining other purpose-led businesses to talk systems change and brand responsibility
  • We co-hosted our first major event for B Corp Month, in collaboration with B Local Surrey, to bring the local community together around shared values.
  • Simon took part in a B Corp panel discussion exploring what it means to embed purpose in agency culture.
  • Steph hosted monthly People Planet Pint meetups in Guildford, creating a space for honest conversations and connection around sustainability.
  • We began working with our first B Corp client, the brilliant 5D Net Zero – keep your eyes peeled for more on that soon.
  • We calculated our Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions and began developing a reduction plan for Year Two.
  • We’re now working on our year one impact report, to be released later this summer and are setting new goals for year two of our B Corp journey.

We’re still early in our journey, but being part of the B-Corp community has really allowed us as a team to reflect on what purpose means in the current climate and the importance of staying connected to the values that guide our work.

In an age of purpose fatigue, we’re reminded that people want proof, not promises. Grand mission statements, emotive campaigns and declarations of intent mean nothing if they aren’t backed by action.

We’ve found inspiration in the brands that have led by doing – many of whom we had the pleasure of meeting at events throughout the year.  To echo a key message from the Louder Than Words Festival, collaboration outweighs competition; positive impact grows through steady, collective effort. We’ve loved coming together to share ideas, learn from others, and play our part in something bigger than ourselves.

Yet, while 2025 has brought fresh momentum in some areas, it’s also surfaced a troubling trend of larger companies rolling back on or deprioritising ethical commitments, from DEI initiatives to sustainability programmes. For us, this has only reinforced the importance of staying grounded in our principles and continuing to design with intention – even when the wider picture feels in flux.

It’s been an incredible first year, but we’re here for the long haul. And we’re grateful to the B Corp community for walking alongside us.
