What an incredible journey 2024 has been!

As we reflect on the past twelve months, we’re filled with gratitude for our amazing team, our brilliant clients, and the meaningful work we’ve accomplished together.

Here are some of our key highlights from the year…

Making business a force for good

A defining moment this year was achieving our B Corp certification in June. This rigorous process challenged us to examine every aspect of our business, from governance to environmental impact. It meant diving deep into our practices, implementing new policies, and reinforcing our commitment to being a force for good. A huge thank you to Steph for leading the charge on this process!

If you missed her insightful deep dive into our journey—check it out here!

The journey continued as we joined the largest-ever gathering of B Corps at Louder Than Words in Oxford. Among 2,000+ UK B Corps, we found ourselves inspired by conversations about equity, sustainability, and community. These discussions reinforced our belief that business can—and must—be a catalyst for positive change. We’ve captured our key learnings in a detailed write-up – read it here.

Partnering for impact

This year saw us collaborate with remarkable organisations across diverse sectors. We strengthened our relationship with Expleo, crafting a marketing campaign that showcases their transformative work in life sciences across 30+ regions.

Working alongside the English Cricket Board, we developed a comprehensive Concussion Policy toolkit, complete with bespoke cricket-themed icons and visual elements that bring vital safety information to life. Case study coming soon – watch this space.

It’s always a joy to connect with new clients via referrals. On that note, we began working with GSMA, a global leader uniting the mobile ecosystem. We’re currently working on a campaign to inspire businesses to make the switch to 5G Standalone, crafting visually engaging designs for the whitepaper and creating a compelling landing page to support the initiative. We’re excited to help them amplify their vision for a more connected world.

A big thanks to the referral from Expleo that brought us together—proof of how collaboration fuels creativity.

CHARITY REBRAND

This year, our partnership with GUTS, marking their 40 years of bowel cancer prevention, yielded extraordinary results. Through a brand refresh and website redesign, we helped this amazing charity drive a remarkable 354% increase in donations and a 263% surge in online transactions.

TECH FOR GOOD

We also teamed up with pioneering tech for good organisation, Humanity Link, amplifying their positive impact through a rebrand.  Working with AndAnotherDay, we created a complete brand identity and website for their innovative non-profit communication platform, enabling them to engage communities more effectively than ever.

DUNLOP RELEASES MORE SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING

Our collaboration with Dunlop at the ATP Tour Finals in Turin demonstrated the power of FOOH (Future of Outdoor Advertising) advertising. The campaign, featuring tennis influencer Edoardo Santonocito, garnered an impressive 1.3M views and 47.1K likes, proving that digital creativity can create substantial impact while minimising environmental footprint. Want to see how we did it? Read the behind-the-scenes here.

Speaking of Dunlop, we also developed a campaign to showcase their new SX SPIN racket’s revolutionary spin technology, pushing the boundaries of innovative sports marketing. (Case study coming soon – stay tuned!)

growing together

2024 also marked significant internal growth for Orangery. Under the guidance of Will Gardner, our team coaching sessions created space for honest, challenging conversations about our future. These judgment-free discussions helped us understand our strengths and align our vision for Orangery’s path forward. Read more about our experience with Will and what we learned in this blog.

GROWING THE TEAM

Last month, we were thrilled to officially welcome Will Stannett to the team as our new Junior Graphic Designer. Will’s proactive attitude and shared values stood out from the moment he stepped into the studio.

After impressing us with his portfolio, he joined us for a two-week work experience where he dove headfirst into a dynamic rebrand project, designed a sub-brand logo, and even developed the initial strategy for an advertising campaign. It was clear we had to bring him on board!

Supporting emerging talent like Will not only strengthens our team but also reinforces our commitment to nurturing junior talent in the industry.

Community spirit in action

In September, the Bolt Round the Holt event brought people together in the beautiful (and slightly muddy) trails of Alice Holt Forest, all in support of GUTS and their vital work against bowel cancer. Our team had the privilege of designing the event’s promotional materials—and we couldn’t resist lacing up to join the action ourselves. It was a sweaty, scenic adventure that showcased the incredible power of community rallying for a meaningful cause.

We also continued to host our monthly People, Planet, Pint meetups in Guildford, which have become a staple in our calendar. These relaxed gatherings offer a space to chat with like-minded individuals about important topics like sustainability, community impact, and ethical business practices. We’re excited to carry this tradition forward into 2025!
