It’s time to wrap up for 2021
It would be fair to say that it’s been another challenging year for everyone. We’d like to thank all our clients and partners for your continued support through 2021.
It certainly hasn’t all been doom and gloom and in our ‘glass half full’ Orangery way, we have much to be grateful for.
It’s hard to single out one client or job that has been particularly rewarding. From a full rebrand and new website for leading tech company Station10, to a website immortalising equine and human champions of British flat racing for British Champions Series and a website to celebrate National Racehorse Week for Great British Racing.
It’s a privilege to work on such a broad range of clients and projects. Here are some particular highlights:
Smashing it through lockdowns
We have been working with Dunlop Sports for 4 years now! In that time, we’ve got to know the world of racket sports rather well. In fact, Steve, one of our Senior Designers has become a bit of an expert on all things string related. Our deep understanding of the business has no doubt helped to cement the relationship and to continue to produce excellent work. It hasn’t been easy with the restrictions in place but we are proud of the campaigns we have produced for two racket launches, see the case study for CX and Dunlop’s landing page for the latest on SX. In addition to the campaigns, we have supported Dunlop’s partnership with ATP and AO as well as helping them to communicate their important sustainability initiatives.
A personal highlight was being back on a location shoot in Nice at the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy with the Dunlop team and the crew from Bullet.
We already have a full plan of marketing activities for 2022, including an exciting YouTube series for 2022, so watch this space!
Two new apps for transformational anarchist
Holos means whole. Their expertise lies in its leadership and cultural change across whole organisations. They pride themselves on designing and delivering bespoke learning experiences that break norms, create stretch and make sense of the future. Having redesigned their website last year to fit their new positioning of ’transformational anarchists’, Holos asked us to create two web apps to streamline and automate a digital process for their core products, Leadership 360 and Team Diagnostics. The new system allows Holos to set up, manage and deliver hundreds of reports simultaneously. Piloted with a key client, the system has now been rolled out across their other major blue-chip clients.
“Streamlining and automating two of our key products has saved us a phenomenal amount of time, meaning we can focus our attention on what really matters – servicing our clients.”Neil Crofts, Co-founder, Holos
A beacon of hope
A bit closer to home, we were humbled to work with the Samson Centre in Guildford. The Samson Centre helps anyone affected by Multiple Sclerosis. They do the most amazing work in our community, so it was a pleasure to help them to align their vision with their identity. We helped them to articulate what it is they do and what they stand for, then gave their visual identity a bit of a refresh including the website.
You can visit their website here to see the incredible work they do.
Our team has done a sterling job in 2021 of supporting each other through more lockdowns and still managing to produce exceptionally high-quality work.
We continue to grow and are delighted to have welcomed two new people to Orangery this year.
Lucy Percy joined us as Client Services Director. With over 25 years working in the branding world, she brings a wealth of experience in client management and brand strategy.
We also welcomed Zoe Smith to the team as an Account Manager in the Summer. She has hit the ground running and is doing a great job at getting us super organised in the studio.
We are very excited to have a new junior designer coming on board in January.
For the third year running, we will be supporting the homeless charity Crisis on our clients’ behalf. We will give 21 people food, a warm place to stay and support from friendship to training and education, as well as hope for the future. And we think that’s the most valuable gift any of us can give.
Thank you for all your support this year and we wish you all a wonderful Christmas and look forward to what 2022 brings!
Best wishes, Simon and the Orangery team
