A bit about Chantries and Pewleys

With both agents approaching their 10 year anniversaries, local independent estate agents Chantries and Pewleys were looking to merge to become Guildford’s largest independent estate agency with 3 local branches. With their combined in-depth knowledge and similar work ethic of hard work and dedication, this would position the new company as highly respected market leaders.

Chantries & Pewleys Estate Agents are dedicated to providing a tailor-made service and are passionate about selling the finest properties in Guildford, Surrey and the surrounding areas.

 

The brief

The challenge was to create a new identity for the company as well as communicating the merger. It was important that the new brand visuals still retained the excellent brand equity that had been built over the past 10 years, whilst highlighting the exciting opportunity that came from combining the teams.

Brand identity

We developed a refreshed visual identity which brought together the history of the two agents, creating a blend combining the best of both brands. Redrawing the original form of the Chantries icon – a tree, reminiscent of wrought iron gates, combined with the rounded geometry of the Pewleys visual language –  we created a simplified mark. Pairing this with an elegant, heritage typeface, the new logo references the original town and country aesthetic styling.

Collateral

With twenty staff operating out of three offices, in Guildford town centre, Shalford and Merrow, the company is uniquely positioned to offer its clients unrivalled local coverage and a wealth of experience in the local market. We worked with them to build out consistent brand collateral – from their office signage to adverts in the local property newspapers.

Online presence

Their online presence was an essential part of the rebrand and we designed an updated look for the new website to showcase the newly combined company, using imagery from the local areas and properties. We created a new set of iconography to help the user easily navigate the site.

Property search

Integrating with Chantries & Pewleys’ internal property system, we created a bespoke map to allow easy searching of their properties, for use online and as a presentation tool while on property visits. It also has the ability to shortlist your favourite properties and keep them for reference, or share with friends and family.

Launch campaign

To help Chantries & Pewleys announce the brand merger we worked with them to create a brand campaign which would inform existing and potential customers about their newly formed estate agents and generate awareness about the brand.

The result

The merger of the two companies has successfully established Chantries & Pewleys as Guildford’s largest independent estate agency. The brand continues to go from strength to strength.
