Great British Racing (GBR) came to us with an idea to generate excitement in the lead up to the Grand National at Aintree. The idea was a Tinder-style app for race horses, giving punters a fun way to find their pick. They needed help to bring the idea ‘Mane Match’ to reality. So we did just that. We designed a logo and visual look, defined the user experience and interface design across the app, then developed and launched it. With just a few swipes left and right, you can find your perfect match for the Grand National.

Yay or neigh

All runners were accompanied by their own bios, with users narrowing down the search using filters based on name, age, silks colour and odds. They could then find their perfect match by swiping left or right, ‘yay’ or ‘neigh’, through the profiles until that special runner jumped out.

It’s a match!

The app was a huge success with over 700,000 in-game engagements. GBR were thrilled and punters came away with their perfect match.
